Dan Warnes

Dan moved to Guntersville, Alabama in 1968 and graduated from Guntersville High School in 1970. Dan attended the University of Alabama and graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Political Science. During his undergraduate studies he was employed by the National College of the State Judiciary for a review and analysis of the local court system in Madison County, Alabama. In 1978 he received his juris doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Dan has been practicing law in Marshall County for over 40 years. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Marshall County Coalition in Against Domestic Violence, City of Guntersville Chamber of Commerce, and Marshall County Hospice, and acted as legal advisor for CASA of Marshall County and the Marshall County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. He has also served as president of the Marshall County Bar and a two term representative for the Marshall County Bar with the State Bar Commission.

Dan was previously employed by the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney. Dan is serving as City Attorney for Guntersville, Alabama for which includes advising the City on civil municipal matters.

Kelsey Cooper Yoste

Kelsey was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, though she has several generations of family roots in Marshall County. Kelsey graduated from Huntsville High School in 2012 and then received a bachelors degree in Marketing from Auburn University in 2016.

Receiving multiple scholarships to attend law school at the University of Mississippi, Kelsey was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, and ultimately graduated cum laude in 2019. Upon passing the Alabama Bar Exam, Kelsey moved to Guntersville, Alabama to begin her legal career. In addition to her general practice, Kelsey serves as the prosecutor for the City of Guntersville. She is also the Vice President of the local Bar Association.
